New Delhi: Cement products maker Birla Corporation’s consolidated net profit jumped three-fold at Rs 81.49 crore for the third quarter of the ongoing fiscal as against Rs 27.36 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The vevenue from operations of the company increased by 10 percent at Rs 1,715.05 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 1,556.93 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.
In the latest quarter, the sales volume of the company increased 7 percent to 3.43 million tons. The realization per ton went up by 3.49 percent at Rs 4,712.
The capacity utilization of the company for the latest quarter stood at 87 percent. This was 5 percentage higher over the same period of previous year.
