New Delhi: A builder who was on the run has been arrested at Mumbai Airport. He had escaped police custody earlier and was nabbed by the Mumbai Police from the airport.
Builder Jagdish Wagh was being taken to hospital by the Mumbai Police and that when he was able to escape. He is accused of cheating CKP Bank from which he has taken Rs 30 crore and defaulted on repayment to the bank. He had taken the loan for two apartments and a plot of land and selling the properties to another person without informing the bank.
“Wagh was arrested on November 18 and was being taken to hospital when he managed to escape on Monday morning. We nabbed him from the domestic terminal of Mumbai Airport,” Senior Inspector SP Aaher of Dombivali police station was quoated as saying in media reports.
