New Delhi: The ceramic tiles industry will double its growth rate at 8 percent in the current and next financials years due to increased domestic and overseas demand, says a report by CRISIL.
The ceramic tiles industry had a moderate growth rate of about 3-4 percent in the last four years. The organized tile makers will benefit the most in the current scenario since the coal-based gasifiers have been banned by the National Green Tribunal since March 2019.
With the government now offering a number of incentives of affordable housing, concentrating on new infrastructure projects and smart cities, the ceramic tiles industry will witness a growth of demand for the tiles will grow faster by 200-300 basis points in the coming two fiscals.
