New Delhi: In an emerging trend in recent years, Delhi NCR is lagging behind Hyderabad in the launch of ultra-luxury housing units. The number of launches of ultra-luxury houses (those priced above Rs 2.5 crore) in Delhi NCR stood at 870 in the first half (H1) of 2019 as compared to 1,170 units in Hyderabad in the same period, according to ANAROCK Property Consultants.
Even in H1 of 2017, the number of ultra-luxury housing units in Delhi NCR was 85 as compared to 180 units in Hyderabad.
In all major cities, there has been a quantum jump in the launch of ultra-luxury housing units in H1 of 2019 as compared to H1 of 2017, the period immediately after Demonetization.
Mumbai Metropolitan Region witnssed launch of 2,500 ultra-luxury units in H1 of 2019 as compared to 1,150 units in H1 of 2017.
Bengaluru saw launch of 800 ultra-luxury units in H1 of 2019 in contrast to 275 units in H1 of 2017. Pune witnessed launch of 570 ultra-luxury units in H1 of 2019 from nil units in H1 of 2017.
