Director Of Noida-based Realty Firm Arrested After One Year Of Chase

New Delhi:  After a long chase, one of the directors of real estate player 3C was nabbed by Gautam Buddh Nagar administration on Monday over alleged default in payments of over Rs 100 crore.

Surpreet Suri was arrested from his Delhi office. He was on the run since 2018 when three recovery certificates (RCs) were issued against his company by the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration, according to media reports.

Suri had been missing and several buyers and administration looking for him. He had completely stopped coming to his Noida office.

“Three RCs were issued against the 3C group, including one related to the National Consumer Forum for Rs 35 crore, another for Rs 65 crore and one around Rs 4 crore,” SDM-Dadri Rajeev Rai has been quoated as saying in the reports.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration was tracking the movements of Suri and nabbed him from his Lado Sarai Office in Delhi. He is in the lock up now. The administration is also looking for the other directors of the company- Nirmal Singh and Vidur Bhardwaj.

3C has delayed many of its projects. Many homebuyers have been demanding a refund of their money since the company has not been able to hand over possession of their properties. The homebuyers have been demonstrating at various places against the company from time to time.
