Godrej Properties and Tvasta Engineering Pioneer 3D-Printed Homes in India

Mumbai, February 24, 2025: Godrej Properties, in collaboration with Tvasta Engineering, has introduced India’s first 3D-printed G+1 villa at Godrej Eden Estate, Pune. The milestone demonstrates the potential of additive manufacturing technology in home construction, offering speed, efficiency, and sustainability.

The project, initiated in June 2024, was completed within four months—significantly faster than conventional methods. Using a specialized concrete 3D printer, the structure was built layer by layer with precision, reducing material wastage and labour costs. This technology minimizes reliance on traditional construction techniques while maintaining durability and strength.

The villa, spanning 2,200 square feet, showcases how robotics and automation can redefine modern housing. 3D printing allows for the integration of recycled materials, cutting the carbon footprint and addressing environmental concerns. With superior insulation properties, the structure ensures better energy efficiency, reducing temperature fluctuations and long-term energy consumption.

According to Godrej Properties, the use of computational design enables the creation of complex, organic architectural forms that blend aesthetic appeal with structural resilience. The villa features dynamic, free-flowing interiors, maximizing natural light and ventilation. Sculptural staircases and layered facades exemplify the futuristic design possibilities offered by 3D printing.
