New Delhi: Mumbai based Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) today reported 11 percent jump in total value of property bookings at Rs 5,915 crore in the 2019-20 financial year as compared to the previous fiscal.
The residential sales increased 14 percent to Rs 5,840 crore in the 2019-20 financial year as against previous fiscal, the company said in a statement.
In the fourth quarter of 2019-20 fiscal, the company clocked bookings worth Rs 2,380 crore, up 10 percent from the same period of the previous fiscal.
GPL sold 3,000 homes in the fourth quarter of 2019-20 fiscal. The number of houses sold and their value were the highest the company has clocked in any quarter earlier.
Interestingly, The sales in fourth quarter included over 500 homes sold in the second half of March when there has been a lockdown in the country. This was made possible as GPL resorted to digital sales tools to boost operations.
GPL added 10 new projects in 2019-20 fiscal. Five new projects were added in fourth quarter.
However, the start of the current fiscal is expected to be muted, according to the company.
