HIL Limited, a part of the USD 3 billion CK Birla Group, has announced its rebranding to BirlaNu Limited in a statement. The company is also planning to invest USD 150 million, aiming to become a USD 1 billion company by 2028, as shared in the statement. This investment will be used for scaling up manufacturing capacity, advancing sustainability initiatives, and developing cutting-edge building solutions

Avanti Birla, President, BirlaNu, emphasized the essence of the rebranding, stating, “Our new identity, BirlaNu, reflects who we are at our core—a company that is always pushing forward. We’re in this business because we believe in quality, innovation, and making things that last. The people we serve—homeowners, builders, and designers—are at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s creating better materials, improving sustainability, or bringing fresh ideas to construction, we’re here crafting innovative buildings and structures that stand the test of time.”

The company operates 32 manufacturing facilities across India, Germany, and Austria, supported by innovation centres in India and Germany. Serving customers in over 80 countries, BirlaNu adheres to global quality certifications such as GreenPro, IGBC, PEFC, Blue Angel, and EPD, ensuring sustainability and excellence across its product range.

Akshat Seth, Managing Director and CEO, BirlaNu, highlighted the company’s strategic advancements, saying, “Our focus has always been on delivering high-quality, sustainable building materials: pipes, construction chemicals, putty, roofs, walls, and floors that meet the needs of modern construction. We’re making big moves to back that up. We’ve introduced Organic Based Stabilizers (OBS) in UPVC pipe manufacturing—an industry first in India—eliminating heavy metals. We’ve doubled our AAC block capacity in Chennai to 4 lakh cubic meters per year, making it one of the country’s largest facilities. And marking our expansion into the home and interiors space, we intend to bring our global premium flooring brand, Parador, to India.”

The rebranding signifies a renewed vision for the company, reinforcing its position as a leading player in the home and building products sector. With over 5,000 employees and a strong partner ecosystem, BirlaNu has earned recognition as a Great Place to Work® and has received accolades such as Iconic Brand, Asia’s Most Trusted Brand, and Super Brand.

As BirlaNu embarks on this new chapter, the company aims to redefine the future of construction materials, blending innovation with sustainability to shape the built environment of tomorrow.
