New Delhi: Even amid the corone-led lockdown in the country, various cemnt makers have either started production or are planning to start production in near term. India Cements Ltd has commenced operations and production at some of its factories.
“The company has resumed the operation of few of its Plant(s) partially/ gradually in a phased manner and adopted a series of precautionary and safety measures,” India Cements said in a regulatory filing.
The company has factories Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They were closed down on 23 March as the lockdown was imposed.
Even JK Cement has partially started or are being started after putting in place the necessary safety measures for workmen, the company said in a regulatory filing.
JK Cement has got permission from authorities to start production at its factories in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, the company said.
The company has factories in at Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, Nimbahera, Mangrol and Gotan located in Rajasthan, Jharli in Haryana and Katni in Madhya Pradesh.
