The Darjeeling property expands Lemon Tree Hotels’ operational presence in West Bengal, with three more hotels in the state in the pipeline.
Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has opened Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels in Darjeeling, marking the company’s first property in the hill town and its third operational hotel in West Bengal. The company said three additional properties are in the pipeline in the state.
Located on Old Kutchery Road, the hotel has 65 rooms and suites across Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Studio Suites and Executive Suites. The property offers views of the valley, city, forest and gardens.
The hotel includes Keys Café, a multi-cuisine all-day dining restaurant, Unlock Bar, in-room dining and a fitness centre. It also has an outdoor lawn with a capacity of up to 100 guests for social gatherings, private celebrations and outdoor events.
The property is managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.
“Darjeeling remains one of India’s most-loved hill destinations, be it a classic mountain holiday for families or shorter, experience-led trips for younger travellers. The tea estates, the food and the character of the town are as much a part of the journey as the view. This makes Darjeeling a natural fit for Keys Prima by Lemon Tree Hotels, which combines contemporary comfort with thoughtful service and a strong sense of value. With our debut here, we look forward to offering travellers our signature hospitality as they discover Darjeeling, and to marking a new milestone in our growing presence in West Bengal,” said Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.
The hotel provides access to attractions including Tiger Hill, Darjeeling Zoo, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, Rock Garden, tea gardens, Darjeeling Ropeway and Batasia Loop. It is approximately 70 km from Bagdogra Airport, 2.5 km from Darjeeling Railway Station and 1.7 km from the local bus station.
Lemon Tree Hotels operates across multiple hospitality segments through seven brands: Aurika Hotels & Resorts, Lemon Tree Premier, Lemon Tree Hotels, Red Fox, Keys Prima, Keys Select and Keys Lite. According to the company, it operates more than 130 hotels across more than 80 cities in India and abroad, with over 140 properties in its pipeline. The group has an international presence in Bhutan and Nepal.
