Lodha Developers sells 300 properties during lockdown

New Delhi: Mumbai-based Lodha Developers has 300 properties in its various projects in Mumbai since the start of the lockdown period in the country about five weeks ago. The company sold about 80 properties on Akshay Tritiya, the company said in a statement.

The group’s UK-based unit has generated new sales of Rs 150 crore in the last 5 weeks.

“We have been receiving constant enquiries for properties. The Covid-19 lockdown has made us all realize that owning a home for our families is very important. Lower interest rates on home loans are also helping. Ready to move-in homes and projects with integrated living are witnessing high interest,” said Prashant Bindal, Chief Sales Officer, Lodha Developers.

The buyers are mostly preferring ready-to-move houses and projects with integrated living, the company said. Lodha Developers also saw buyer interest for its commercial projects. There was active interest particularly for its industrial and logistics projects.

Lodha group had entered London market in 2013 after acquiring the MacDonald House at 1 Grosvenor Square for Rs 3,100 crore.
