L&T Bags ‘Large’ Orders In Philippines, Middle East Apart From Gujarta And UP

New Delhi: Infrastructure player Larsen & Toubro has won ‘large’ orders from domestic and global clients.

The order has been bagged by the power transmission and distribution division of the company. Although the company did not specify the exact value of the contracts,

its project classification of ‘large’ orders means are those valued between Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore.

The power transmission and distribution division of L&T Construction has bagged an order construct a substation in Philippines. This order has been bagged by the company together with another local firm, L&T said in a regulatory filing. 

L&T also bagged a contract in Saudi Arabia to construct a 380 kilovolt substation together with 230kV cable network and lay down 380kV and 230kV transmission line corridors.

The company received another contract to construct extra high voltage overhead lines in the Middle East. 

In India, the company has bagged an order in Gujarat to construct a double-circuit transmission line that will transmit power from renewable energy sources.

The company bagged another order to construct a 20 megawatt floater solar power project at a reservoir in a gas power plant in Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh. The power plant belongs to NTPC.
