New Delhi: The Power Transmission & Distribution Business division of L&T Construction has secured orders in India and abroad worth Rs 1,000-2,500 crore.
One of the orders is to modernize the power distribution network in Bengaluru Metropolitan Area Zone. The order includes conversion of high-voltage lines into underground cables and also creation of additional feeders for load bifurcation. The project will improve the reliability of the power system.
Distribution network strengthening orders have also been secured by the division in northern and western parts of the subcontinent.
The division has also secured orders to establish 220kV, 132kV substations and 132kV cable networks in India, Africa and the Middle East.
In a consortium with other players, another order has been bagged for the rehabilitation of substations and also of transmission lines of the hydropower plants in Myanmar.
More orders have been bagged in ongoing substation, transmission line and renewable energy projects within India, the company said in a regulatory filing.
