L&T Bags Rs 1,000-2,500 Cr Order In Sultanate Of Oman

New Delhi: Infrastructure player Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a significant order in Sultanate of Oman. The company did not specify the value of the order, but mentioned that order falls under the “significant” category, which ranges between Rs 1,000-2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts.

The order has been bagged by water and effluent treatment business of L&T Construction, the company said in a statement. 

The order bagged by L&T is for design and execution of a water infrastructure project to enhance the Al Dhakhlia water transmission system phase II. 

“L&T construction has been awarded significant contract for its water and effluent treatment business… from a prestigious client in the Sultanate of Oman,” the company said. 

The work includes 173 km of pipeline for water transmission. There will also be 18 RCC water storage reservoirs, 5 pumping stations and associated mechanical and works. 

The company did not provide the value of the contract, but said the order falls under the “significant” category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore according to the classification of contracts.
