New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has joined hands with drone maker ideaForge to supply drones and the allied systems for defence use.
ideaForge is an India maker of unmanned aerial vehicles. The two companies will use their strengths to supply hi-tech drone solutions to enhance security and surveillance.
The two companies will also offer anti-drone solutions to counter the threat of wrong, malicious or even unintended usage of drones.
“The MoU involves collaboration on technology, products, deployment and go-to-market strategies,” L&T said in a regulatory filing.
Given the fact that drones are increasingly becoming popular in area s like security and surveillance, the tow companies will come up with a wide range of solutions involving drones and offer it to their clients.
“We are teaming as partners of choice to provide indigenously developed unmanned systems for Indian and global markets. We are confident that this alliance will create a successful ‘Make in India’ collaboration between a diversified engineering conglomerate and a young, technology-driven company for across-the-range offerings,” said J D Patil, whole-time director and Senior Executive VP (Defence and Smart Technologies) L&T.
ideaForge is a Mumbai based company offering drones for enterprise applications, apart from defense.
