L&T Net Profit Up 13 % At Rs 2,527 Cr For Q2FY20

New Delhi: Engineering and infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has reported 13 percent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,527 crore for second quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 2230.49 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal. 

The revenues of the company increased about 15 percent to Rs 35,328.4 crore in the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal as against Rs 30,678.13 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. 

The EBITDA of the company for the second quarter stood at Rs 4,021.4 crore. The EBITDA margin was recorded at 11.4 percent.

The Hydrocarbon Segment of the company secured orders of Rs 14,851 crore during the second quarter of fiscal 2019-20. The growth in the value of the orders for the hydrocarbon segment has been impressive with the receipt of a mega orders in both the onshore as well as offshore verticals. 

The power segment of the company bagged orders of Rs 4,315 crore for the second quarter, recording impressive growth. 

Developmental projects segment recorded customer revenue of Rs 1,452 crore in the second quarter. 

The company as a whole bagged orders of Rs 48,292 crore during the second quarter, recording a jump of 20 percent as compared to the previous quarter if the previous fiscal. The international orders constituted 22 percent of the total order book of the company.
