New Delhi: The board of infra player Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has had approved long-term borrowings of up to Rs 9,000 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The money will be raised “either through external commercial borrowings, term loans, non-convertible debentures or any other instrument as may be appropriate”.
The company has won big ordesr this week itself. On 7 April, L&T Construction’s Smart World & Communication Business division bagged an order worth rs 2,500-5,000 crore from the Indian Army. The order is for a unified network management system to manage, support and operate India’s nationwide armed forces network under the network for spectrum.
It also bagged orders in foreign countries. The Power Transmission & Distribution division of L&T Construction received orders in India and abroad. In Egypt, L&T secured orders to design, supply and construct a 220 KV gas-insulated substation.
