L&T’s Net Profit Jumps 15.2% For Q3FY20

New Delhi: Infrastructure player Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has registered a 15.2 percent jump in net profit at Rs 2,352 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal as compared to Rs 2,041.62 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

The consolidated gross revenue of the company stood at Rs 6,243 crore from continuing operations for the third quarter of 2019-20 fiscal, an increase of six percent, according to regulatory filing by the company.

The international revenue of the company in the third quarter stood at Rs 12,871 crore. It constituted 36 percent of the total revenue. The order book of the group on consolidated basis stood at Rs 3.06 lakh crore as on 31 December, 2019,

L&T bagged new orders worth Rs 41,579 crore during the quarter. The  international orders for the quarter stood at Rs17,901 crore. 

Net profit from continuing operations stood at Rs 2,161 crore for the quarter. It rose 13.8 percent over the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The infra segment of the group got orders worth Rs 28,115 crore during the quarter, registering a jump of 28 percent as compared to previous fiscal.

The power segment registered revenues of Rs 694 crore during the quarter, a decline of about 23 percent.
