New Delhi: The real estate industry in the country is slowly coming to terms with RERA and more and more projects and agents are getting registered with various RERA authorities. The number of projects registered wit various authorities stands at 46,480 as of 8th November 2019. The number of agents registered stands at 36,671 as on the same date, according to ANAROCK data.
The number of projects registered with Maharashtra RERA authority has touched 22,885, the highest for any state in the country. Maharashtra RERA authority has also been the most efficient and active RERA authorities in the country. Other leading states in terms of number of projects registered are Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh with 6,291 and 2,739 projects respectively.
The lowest number of projects registered is in Himachal Pradesh with registration of just 36 projects. Assam has 101 projects and Uttarakhand has 262.
The highest number of agents registered in any state is again Maharashtra with 21,869 dealers. Uttar Pradesh and Punjab has 3,335 and 1,813 agents registered.
The lowest number of agents registered in any state is Assam with just 13 of the dealers registered. Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh have just 32, 54 and 79 dealers registered respectively.
Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar islands has just 1 project and 20 agents registered. The NCT of Delhi has 21 projects and 196 agents registered as of 8th November.
