Mantra Group appoints Ranbir Kapoor as brand ambassador amid expansion into Mumbai and the UAE

Mantra Group Appoints Ranbir Kapoor Brand Ambassador Amid Expansion Beyond Pune

Pune-based real estate developer Mantra Group has appointed Hindi-film actor Ranbir Kapoor as its brand ambassador, the company announced yesterday. The appointment comes as Mantra expands beyond its home market into Mumbai and the UAE. Kapoor will also appear alongside the company’s managing director, Rohit Gupta, in a new brand film.

Founded in 2007, Mantra says it has completed more than 8 million square feet (sq ft) across 16 projects, providing homes to over 7,500 families in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Its operations span residential, commercial and retail real estate, with expansion into Mumbai and the UAE. It also cites a family-owned business legacy extending beyond 50 years.

In Mumbai, the group said its latest acquisition involves a project stalled for more than 17 years. It described the acquisition as potentially benefiting 576 families in a MHADA layout and 300 homebuyers. In the UAE, it has partnered with luxury brand Jacob & Co. for a branded residential development on Al Marjan Island. Financial terms of the endorsement were not disclosed.

Kapoor, who made his acting debut in 2007 with Saawariya, began his career as an actor in the same year that Mantra Group was established in Pune.

“What appealed to me about Mantra is that it has built its journey over time, but has also continued to evolve. There is a clear ambition to grow, explore new markets and think differently about the spaces and experiences it creates. I also found the journey interesting because there are some parallels in how we have both built our identities over the years. Mantra has strong roots, but it is also looking ahead and creating its own space. I am happy to be part of this next chapter and look forward to what we build together,” said Kapoor.

Rohit Gupta said: “When we started Mantra in 2007, our focus was on building a strong business in Pune and earning the trust of the families we served. Over the years, that foundation has given us the confidence to think beyond individual projects and look at what we can build as a Group. Today, we are at a very different point in that journey. We have expanded into new markets, entered new categories and built relationships with some of the most recognised names across luxury, design and lifestyle. Ranbir comes at a time when we felt the brand needed a personality who could represent this evolution. There are several parallels in the journeys we have taken, from starting out in the same year to building our own identities and constantly evolving. We are delighted to have him as the face of Mantra as we enter this next phase, with several important milestones ahead.”

The group will launch a campaign titled ‘The Festival of Choices‘, involving the release of inventory across its projects and consumer benefits under the Mantra and Burgundy brands. It provided no figures on campaign spending or inventory volume.

Mantra also cited collaborations with Ganti Associates and designer Manish Malhotra, associated with its Burgundy luxury vertical. The group plans to expand further into hospitality, branded residences and additional markets.
