New Delhi: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has started Web Portal ‘GATI’ to help answer the queries of the concessionaires of the highways projects in the country.
The concessionaires can raise their issues on the portal and the issues will be looked into and problems will immediately be known to all the officers of NHAI including the chairman.
The web portal will be monitored by a specialized team of NHAI and even the Ministry. There will be a daily review of the issues by the teams of NHAI and Ministry, according to a statement by the government.
This will help in expediting the resolution process of the problems faced by the concessionaires and help in faster completion of the projects.
The Ministry also intends to review 500 highways construction projects in the country in the next few days. These projects are worth Rs 3 lakh crore.
The highways projects from Punjab, Laddakh, Odisha, North-Eastern states, J&K, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttarkhand, Haryana, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh will be reviewed on 24 January.
