National Security Act To Be Invoked On Delhi-based Builder

New Delhi: Rather serious National Security Act (NSA) will be invoked against a Delhi-based realtor for his alleged illegal construction activity in Shahberi area of Greater Noida.

Uttar Pradesh government has approved the invocation of NSA builder Jasvir Mann for illegally constructing houses and apartments in Shaberi where a number of deaths had taken place due to collapse of buildings, according to media reports. 

Mann has allegedly constcrured 261 flats illegally in Shahberi and even sold about 170 of them. These apartments were developed in buildings lacking proper permissions. These buildings were constructed illegally on land parcels notified by Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).

Mann is currently in prison in Gautam Buddh Nagar after he was arrested in October under Gangster Act. 

The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration had proposed Mann’s detention under the NSA.

Around 86 FIRs have been filed for illegal construction in Shahberi. Acton has been initiated on 42 builders of the area under the Gangster Act.
