New Delhi: NBCC Ltd has got a tender for completing 1,000 apartments in certain projects in beleaguered realty firm Amrapali Group, even as the state run firm prepares to hand over 600 flats to the homebuyers after completing minor finishing works.
Supreme Court has given the tender worth Rs 700 crore for constructing about 1,000 crore in Amrapali projects which NBCC is undertaking on project management consultancy basis.
“The Amrapali project that has been awarded by Supreme Court that is taking place, we are handing over 600 houses after some completion in doing finishing work very shortly and the supreme court are given us go ahead to go with tender for work worth Rs 700 crore for more than 1,000 houses,” said P K Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC Ltd.
Gupta was replying an investor query during the conference call to discuss the financials of the September quarter. Transcript of the same has been filed on stock exchanges.
The 600 apartments that NBCC is about to hand over to the homebuyers are in ‘Eden Park’ and “Castle’ projects of the Group. These are 2 of the 16 projects of the Group that NBCC is constructing.
NBCC is also in the fray for acquiring and completing the projects of realty player Jaypee Infra and has submitted its bid to the Supreme Court for the same.
