New Delhi, September 2nd: Real estate developer Omaxe Group has announced a major investment of ₹2,500 crore to develop a 50-acre commercial-cum-sports complex in Dwarka, Delhi. This ambitious project, named “The Omaxe State,” is set to become a landmark development in the national capital, featuring world-class sports facilities, retail spaces, and hospitality services.
Omaxe’s project is located in Sector 19-B, Dwarka, and is being developed in collaboration with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The project is designed to cater to the growing demand for high-quality sports and commercial infrastructure in Delhi, a city with a population exceeding 3.3 crore.
A key highlight of “The Omaxe State” is the construction of a state-of-the-art cricket-cum-football stadium that meets both ICC and FIFA standards. The stadium will have a seating capacity of over 30,000, making it one of the premier sports venues in the region. Additionally, the project will include an international multi-sports indoor stadium with the capacity to host 2,000 spectators, offering facilities for various indoor sports.
The project is not limited to sports alone. It will encompass five distinct districts: The Sports District, The Shopping District, The Hospitality District, The Food District, and The Social District. These zones are designed to provide a comprehensive experience that blends sports, retail, dining, and social interaction. Notably, the complex will also feature a 75,000-square-foot E-Sports arena, a 148-key hotel, and an exclusive invite-only sports and leisure club, catering to a wide range of activities and audiences.
Mohit Goel, Managing Director of Omaxe Group, emphasized the significance of this development, stating, “With ‘The Omaxe State,’ we aim to provide Delhiites with an international-level experience right here in their own city. This development will bridge a significant gap in Delhi’s infrastructure by offering a world-class venue for sports, shopping, and entertainment.”
The project is expected to be completed by 2027 and is projected to generate over ₹4,200 crore in revenue throughout its lifecycle. This development is poised to significantly enhance Dwarka’s profile as a commercial and sports hub in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Omaxe Group, founded in 1987 by Rohtas Goel, has established itself as a prominent player in India’s real estate sector. The company, which went public in 2007 and is listed on both the NSE and BSE, has a diverse portfolio of group housing projects, integrated townships, commercial malls, office spaces, and hotels.
With this latest investment, Omaxe Group is set to transform Dwarka into a premier destination for sports, retail, and leisure, further cementing its position as a leading developer in the Indian real estate market.
