New Delhi: Under the connectivity improvement programme for Char-Dham (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri & Gangotri) in Uttarakhand, around 1.1 kilometer has been constructed and another 646 kilometer is under construction. A total of 889 kilometer of national highways have been identified for constriction or improvement under the connectivity Improvement Programme for Char-Dham by the government at estimated cost of around Rs 11,700 crore, , said Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways.
A total 246 projects of construction of roads covering a length of 10,100 kilometers have been awarded till February, 2020 under the BharatmalaYojana. About 1,255 kilometers have been constructed under Bharatmala Project in the ongoing fiscal 2019-20, said Gadkari in a written reply in Rajya Sabha recently.
About 6,418 kilometers (around 5,998 kilometers actual design length) has been identified for development Under SARDP-NE (Phase –A and Arunachal Pradesh) at an estimated investment of Rs 33,750 crore.
Out of this, 3,225 kilometer has been constructed and 2,155 kilometers is under construction.
