New Delhi: The private equity (PE) investment in the Indian real estate market jumped nearly 19 percent to USD 3.8 billion in the first nine months of 2019 as compared USD 3.2 billion in the same period of 2018, a report by ANAROCK Property Consultant says.
Out of the total USD 3.8 billion funds in 2019, equity funding comprised 95 percent share.
The commercial real estate segment accounted for 79 percent totaling about USD 3 billion investment in the first nine months of 2019.
Residential segmented bagged USD 295 million investment in the period. The
Retail segment got about USD 260 million of investment while logistics & warehousing segment got total inflows of around USD 200 million.
Mumbai saw the highest inflows of about USD 1.59 billion in the period.
Pune got around USD 390 million. Hyderabad had total inflows of USD 190 million.
