Portal For Housing Projects Launched

New Delhi: To cash in on the current trend of online sales and deep penetration of internet, a portal ‘Housingforall.com’ has been launched today that will enable homebuyers in having a look at best priced inventory by developers for a limited time to benefit from best pricing.

Developers from across the country will be able to showcase and sell their properties on the portal and the buyers can book any property with a refundable deposit of Rs 25,000. The buyer will be refunded the amount in case he/she decides not to buy the property later.

The buyer will be informed immediately if the booked unit has been purchased by someone else.

The portal will have a 45-day All-India Online Home-Buying Festival starting from 14 February. Around 1,000 projects are likely to showcased on the portal in the festival. The developers can upload their project descriptions from today till 13 February.

The portal has been launched by Durga Shanker Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs today in the Capital. The portal is an initiative by National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO). It is supported by CREDAI-MCHI, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Builders Association of India (BAI), and Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC).

“Technology adoption and prowess has made it possible across sectors. Real estate is not isolated. The sector has evolved and has become regularised and professional. As we continue to move ahead with developments, there was a huge requirement for an authentic source of information on the existing projects and the inventory,” said Mishra while launching the portal.
