New Delhi: Delhi’s Khan Market has emerged as the one of the most expensive destinations in the world in term of rentals. The market has an annual rent of USD 243 for the second quarter of the current calendar year, making it the 20th most expensive place globally.
The first, second and the third positions have been acquired by Hong Kong, New York and London localities respectively, according to report by property consultant Cushman and Wakefield. Honk Kong’s Causeway bay has a rental of USD 2,745 per annum, making it the most expensive place in the world.
New York’s Upper 5th Avenue has bagged the second place in the ranking with a rental of USD 2,250 per annum. London’s New Bond Street had a rental of USD 1,714 per annum, bagging the third place in the list.
In term of most expensive places in Asian Pacific Region, Khan Market and Linking Road in Mumbai occupy the 12th and 19th place respectively for the highest rentals. Linking Road has an annual rental of USD 139 for 2109.
