New Delhi: Residents of a housing society in Gurugram have complained to the local authorities against alleged sudden and arbitrary increase in maintenance charges by the builder.
The property owners of ‘Vipul Lavanya’ project in Sector 81 of Gurugram went to the authorities complaining that the builder has abruptly increased the quarterly maintenance charges for the project without consulting them.
The developer has increased the quarterly maintenance charges to Rs 3.99 per square feet to Rs 2.50 per square feet, they said in their joint letter to the department of town and country planning (DTCP) recently.
They also said that they are made to live in pitiable conditions and there is hardly any upkeep of the project. They alleged the maintenance is hardly done and the condition of the society is going from bad to worse.
