New Delhi: The sales of residential properties registered a modest increase of 4-5 percent in 2019 as compared to 2018, according to ANAROCK Property Consultants.
About 2.58 lakh houses have nee sold in 2019 as against around 2.48 lakh units in 2018.
The new launches of housing units in 2019 witnessed a growth of 18-20 percent. Around 2.3 lakh units were launched in 2019 as compared to 1.95 lakh units in 2018.
The business of Grade A developers did better than the business of others in 2019. Some of the listed real estate companies did really well in the current year.
But largely, the sentiments of the real estate industry wee down in 2019. Te ready to move and competed homes were preferred by the end users. The sales value of India’s top 9 listed players touched Rs 10,800 crore in the second and third quarters of 2019, translating in five percent quarter on quarter growth.
The small builders either joined hands with the bigger ones to survive or perished in 2019. The liquidity crisis, which emanated in 2018, loomed large over the realty firms in 2019 also. The private equity investment in the housing sectors was subdues in 2019.
