New Delhi: Realty firm Unitech Ltd has said that Prabhakar Singh has been appointed on the board of the company as government’s nominee director.
“Prabhakar Singh is appointed as nominee director of the central government on the board of directors of Unitech Ltd, with immediate effect,” the company said in a regulatory filing recently.
Singh was earlier the Director General of CPWD.
Singh is the latest entrant to the board of the embattled realty firm.
Earlier, Hiranandani Group MD Niranjan Hiranandani, HDFC MD Renu Sud Karnad, NBCC’s Ex-CMD A K Mittal, Embassy Group head Jitu Virwani, B Sriram (Ex-MD and CEO of IDBI Bank), and Girish K Ahuja (independent director of SBI) were appointed as government’s nominee directors on the board.
