New Delhi: The validity of documents like driving licenses, permits and registration of vehicles that have expired since 1 February 2020 has been extended till 30 June 2020 by the government.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sent an advisory to all states and Union Territories for the purpose.
This decision has been taken in view of the difficulties in getting renewed validity of various motor vehicle related documents due to nationwide lockdown and closure of government transport offices.
The documents include permits of all types, driving license, fitness certificate registration or any other concerned document under the Motor Vehicle Rules, the ministry said in a statement.
